Business Event Set To Draw Transatlantic Audience of More Than 400

A transatlantic audience of more than 400 people are expected to attend the second annual Aberdeen-Houston Gateway on Tuesday, March 4.

Hosted by Aberdeen-based Granite PR, the event will feature an impressive line-up of leading speakers, panellists and hosts in Aberdeen, Scotland and Houston, Texas.  The two venues will be linked together via the latest AV technology for live simultaneous broadcast throughout the entire event.

The event, which is managed by BusinessPlus Scotland, will take the form of a lunch at Aberdeen’s Marcliffe Hotel and Spa, and a simultaneous breakfast 6:45-9:00 a.m. at the Norris Conference Centers, CityCentre, located at 816 Town & Country Blvd., Suite 210, Houston, Texas  77024.

This year’s Houston participants will include HM Consul General, Andrew Millar (Chairman); Marshall Schott, Associate Vice Chancellor, Academic Affairs, Energy & Manufacturing Institute of Lone Star College System; Eduardo Aguirre, former Ambassador to Spain and Andorra; Frank Landreneau, International Tax Director of PKF; Gus Bourgeois III, Shareholder of Boyer Miller; and Dr. Marvin Baker of High Technology Associates.

The Aberdeen-Houston Gateway offers a platform for knowledge sharing and networking between two of the world’s foremost energy hubs.  It is also hoped that the event will act as a springboard to further strengthen the links between the cities as well as facilitating additional opportunities between businesses in each location.

Commenting on plans for the 2014 event, Granite PR founder and managing director Brett Jackson said, “Building on the huge success of the inaugural Aberdeen-Houston Gateway last year, we are delighted at the response to the second event which has attracted an excellent mix of speakers and a very busy delegate list.”
