Friday, 26th June 2009 - the British American Foundation of Texas, with the help of Sally Stiles from British Airways, waved goodbye to the winners of the BAFTX Jr Achievers Scholarship 2009 Award. The four students, Fanta Kaba, Sharpstown High School, Catherine Garmon, Vernon High School, Brenda Serpas, Lee High School and Elvira Marquez from Kipp Houston High School left Houston IAH very excited and looking forward to the adventure ahead. During their two week stay at ACS International Schools, Cobham, the girls will be introduced to English culture. They will get to see a show at the Theatre, visit the Tower of London, the Houses of Parliament and William Shakespeare's Globe. They will also get the opportunity of visiting Wales and France. We look forward to hearing their stories and seeing their photographs when they return.
