Yemen: The London Meeting, 27 January 2010 

The Prime Minister announced on 1 January 2010 that the UK would invite key international partners to this high level meeting to discuss the many serious economic, political and security problems which the people of Yemen face. If not addressed, these problems threaten the stability of Yemen and the wider region.

The London Yemen Meeting was part of an overall process of increasing international engagement on Yemen. On 26 January, British Ambassador to Yemen Tim Torlot took part in an online webchat with the Bronwen Maddox of the Times. You can read the full chat on their website.
