WHAT: A musical and dance explosion featuring more than 300 bagpipers, drummers and dancers. In Celtic Times, blends traditional Scottish favorites and contemporary pieces. Headlining the performance is the five-time juvenile world champion pipe and drum band of St. Thomas’ Episcopal School.

WHO: The St. Thomas’ Episcopal pipe and drum band – five-time juvenile world champions in 1985, 1995, 1998, 2004 and 2006 – is one of the most highly-respected pipe bands around the globe. St. Thomas’ also produces some of the best Scottish Highland dancers in the country. They have won the United States Highland Dancing Championships more than twenty times.in

WHY: For the past 45 years, this event has enlightened and entertained audiences in Houston—keeping alive the music and dance of the rich Scottish culture and heritage. It has become a Houston tradition and a community-treasured show.

GHP, the British Consulate-General Houston, Environmental Defense Fund, representatives from the United Kingdom (UK)-based Carbon Trust and the Confederation of British Industry invite you to a one-day workshop on how energy efficiency can save your business money.

The workshop is an opportunity to meet with UK companies and exchange best practices. Plan to attend and learn how British industry has successfully adopted business practices and technologies that have reduced their carbon footprint and improved their bottom line.

Breakfast and lunch are provided.
A networking reception is scheduled immediately following workshop.

What is Frontier Fiesta??

Frontier Fiesta is a diverse showcase for the talents of the University of Houston student body. Each year a piece of our campus is transformed into a fully functional town called Fiesta City. This student led festival is a part of a long-standing tradition at UH dating back to the 1940's. It looks and feels like a smaller version of the Houston Rodeo…except without all the animals.

The University of Houston Rugby Club is hosting a carnival booth and a cook off site at Frontier Fiesta this year as a fundraiser for the Club. We invite you join us in these festivities. Other rugby player, family members and friends are also more than welcome to join in. The Rugby Cook-Off Site will start at 7pm with Mexican Fajitas, Italian, and Grade A Texas BBQ served buffet style (1 of the 3 each night) as well as a constant flow of cold beer each night. We will also be hosting live bands and games to keep the entertainment going throughout the night.

So come on out, have some food, fun, and beer and show your support for Rugby!!!

March 25 Thursday

Today is “Family Fun Day” there will be lots more things for families to do during the day.

2pm- UH RFC vs. Alumni match at the rugby pitch. (4121 Elgin St, Houston, Texas 77004)

4pm- Alumni Match Ends/UH RFC Cook Off site opens

A special T-Shirt commemorating this game will be on sale at $100 per person. Please buy one to contribute to team and as a match fee.

(At this time we will be having an auction of UH RFC memorabilia as well as raffle items)

5pm- Food and Drinks will be served

7pm Food will stop being served

8pm-Bands will play

10pm- Bands stop playing/DJ will start

(Rugby Songs will be sung and Rugby games will be played)

(Also the crowning of the Rugby Queen)

1am-Fiesta Closes

$55 for 3 day pass 21+

$45 for 3 day pass under 21

$20 per day

Of course we will also accept donations over these amounts for support of The Club

Hats on for a Royal Day at the Races! All the excitement and luxury of Royal Ascot will be yours at RBS - Rayal Bank of Scotland “Royal Enclosure” in the suites overlooking the track at the Sam Houston Race Park on 19 June, 2010!

Her Majesty the Queen will be toasted at a champagne reception in honor of her official birthday at 3:30 pm
