Chris W. Conway is president, supply and trading Americas, of ConocoPhillips.

 

Conway began his career in 1980 as an engineer in the Continental Pipeline subsidiary company. In 1986, he joined the crude oil supply and trading organization, and returned to the transportation function in 1989 as an operations manager in Denver. He transferred to London in 1991 as manager, strategy and business development for refining and marketing in Europe. In 1995, Conway moved to Houston as manager, specialty products, became manager, supply and trading, North America in 1998, and general manager, Americas crude in September 2002. In 2003, Conway became president, gas and power, and was appointed to his current position in September 2007.



A native of Providence, Rhode Island, Conway was born in 1957. He graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, in Troy, New York, receiving a bachelor of science degree in 1979 in electrical engineering. He is a former Chairman of the Natural Gas Supply Association and is currently on the Board of the Sam Houston Council of the Boy Scouts of America. 09/07
