BABC Holiday Reception

  • The British-American Business Council Houston invites you to join in a celebration of the Holiday Season!

    Thursday, 6 December
    6:00 pm
    British Consulate Residence
    Dress is business attire

    • Special tasting of the Welsh single malt whisky Penderyn courtesy International Business Wales and Penderyn.  Tasting presented by Anne Reynish and Telfryn John.  Like WELSH GOLD (Aur Cymru) Penderyn Single Malt Welsh Whisky is a rare and precious commodity.  This golden malt whisky signals the welcome return of whisky distillation to Wales after an absence of over 100 years.
    • Caroling by the British School Choir
    • Food catered by one of the best Indian traditional and fusion chefs in Houston, Adrian Rodrigues.  Many BABC members remember Adrian from Monsoon Cafe.

In the spirit of the season, BABC will have a Salvation Army Forgotten Angel Tree at the event to encourage members and friends to "adopt" a Forgotten Angel this holiday season.  Forgotten Angels are underprivileged children and senior adults who were not adopted during the initial Angel Tree program.  The Salvation Army, which got its start in the UK over 100 years ago, filled the wishes of over 40,000 children and senior citizens in Houston last year.  That number is mind numbing when you consider that there are many other organizations out there filling the same needs for who knows how many other needy people.  If you have been blessed this year, bless some else by supporting this effort.

Sponsors are needed for this event.  Call the BABC office to have a sponsorship created to meet the special needs of your marketing budget.
